(January 11 – January 31)

We believe that the rule of God in our lives this year is what will guarantee success and prosperity. For this reason the Church and the prayer line is embarking on a journey of 21 days of fasting and prayer. This is to surrender to Him and divinely position ourselves strategically for what God wants to do. To us, this year 2012 is the year of God’s ruling power in our lives.

THEME: THE YEAR OF GOD`S RULING POWER IN MY LIFE

Making your fast effective

1. Ask the Holy Spirit for strength everyday to go through the fast

2. Apart from the corporate prayer points (listed below for each day) make a list of other personal prayer requests e.g. healing restoration in marriage etc.

3. Have specific time and hours where you can be in the presence of God praying and do not let anything interrupt that.

4. Offer prayer of thanksgiving. Be anxious for nothing, but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made know to God. Philippians 4:6-7

5. Confess your sins and forgive all who have offended you. If you regard iniquity in your heart the lord will not hear you. (Psalm 66:18 )

6. Memorize and meditate on the daily scriptures.

7. Be ready to listen to the voice of God. Get a book to write all your relevant dreams, visions, revelations from the word etc. This is the best time God speaks to his children.

8. Listen to Praise and worship songs daily.

9. Read your bible daily.

10. Pray in the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost shall teach you all things. John 14:26

What type of fast is this?
This is a full fast from 6am-6pm. We recommend you drink water (lukewarm). If you have a medical condition or are on any medication and therefore cannot fast, please give me (Pastor Chris) a call at 317-701-8665. (Ask the Holy Ghost for guidance; be diligent and committed to the fast you choose)
What to Expect?
You may experience mild discomfort such as headache, hunger pain, etc. (Your body detoxifies...) Limit your normal activities and takes time to rest. Get away from normal distractions (watching TV, unnecessary conversations etc.) and keep your mind and heart set on God. Fasting will always bring miraculous results if done well.

Breaking your fast
Do not over eat, when you put an end to your fast. Add fruits and vegetables to your diet.
Start with light foods first even if you want to eat something a little heavy. [Print Booklet here]
